Supply Chain Indonesia (SCI) sees the need for competent and professional human resources in the logistics sector to support logistics performance in managing the company’s supply chain in the country.

So far, logistics costs in Indonesia are still relatively high and must be reduced. Therefore, support from professional human resources in their fields is needed.

“This logistics performance will affect the competitiveness of products so that they can compete domestically and internationally,” said SCI Chair Setijadi Jakarta.

According to him, the competence of logistics human resources is expected to improve the quality and performance of the Indonesian logistics sector. Mastery of logistics competence is also needed for human resources in various ministries/institutions.

“Understanding the supply chain, for example, is important in making policies for managing basic necessities and important goods, as well as in efforts to increase exports,” said Setijadi again.
